Lack of Education
Memes aside, the lack of education has been a first world problem since the early days and it has many reasons behind it. But why is still happening? We all know that education is a basic human right no matter what kind of background one comes from it is a basic human right. Education is a key tool for a huge range of global developments, and one of that many of us would assume is getting easier to access for more and more people worldwide. However, statistics say that they are still at an all time high for those who are victim to receiving poor education, or even worse, no education at all. We live in an age where education where matters, where we are encouraged to pursue our dreams, reach for the stars, put our names in the history books, and strive at any given challenges. Yet for some all across the globe, they can’t even read nor write a simple sentence. Why is it happening today? Despite of it being one of the basic human right needs in the world. Here are a few reasons why is this still happening all around the globe.
Lack of teachers
The implications of poor teachers is a truly vicious cycle, however, the demands of providing a better education needs a lot of fundings, and in some countries, they just couldn’t afford it and this big amount of money is just not there. The shortage lies in the distribution of teachers. There are not enough teachers who are both qualified and willing to teach in urban and rural schools, particularly in those serving low-income students or students of color.
Fundings
Funding for education is a really huge problem. Despite the presence of numerous charities aimed at education across the whole wide world and has existed for decades, the funding are not really decreasing. However, money isn’t really straightforward and this is where corruption kicks in. Along with much more other factors, it means that money and funding for education across a multitude of countries is, put simply, a quick fix. In the United States of America the poorest school districts do not receive funding to address their students needs - just the latest data point to shine a spotlight on funding gaps that plague the country’s public education system. Which is pretty awful this is why they don’t get enough support from the government despite everything. Charities and funds are a different story they just don’t give it straightforward.
Discrimination
Sad enough to say, there are still substantial amount of countries that will not provide and individual with an education based on their sex, values, ideologies, disabilities and so forth. While not everyone agrees upon education in all aspects of how it should be implemented, it would also be wrong for us to simply barge in and say that another system is wrong.
These are three of the many reasons of why lack of education still coexists in our society. Despite of all the help that we are getting. Though we could make a change we should start helping even though it’s a bit hard we should really try. To give other children education one of the key things to survive in this world. Here are my opinion on what to do and some of other articles opinion on how to save the lack education of this world.
Expand Access to high-quality early childhood education programs.
I mean why not accessing a better education at an age of 5 is pretty decent. In the United States of America, Americans invests less in children under the age of 5 than most other developed countries. Honestly, for me this is really important I myself went trough Toddler, Nursery, Kinder, and Preparatory and kinda made me understand a few things and got a decent number of achievements because of it. It can have a really great impact on a child, especially for children born into lower socio-economic conditions.
Focus on recruiting, training, and supporting teachers.
Teachers are not the only who’s gonna help you but they will train you to be more knowledgeable and a better individual. High quality teachers help students to be more successful. We must reform how we recruit, train, and support such teachers. One thing that could help this thing out is to increase the number of teachers with real-world training experiences. This can also help teachers to be have more leadership skills and connections to the community and are sources of a diverse talent pool.
Encourage college saving plans
Many low income families lack the resources to save for the future. This is one of the best things you can do, doesn’t matter if you work yourself to have tuition fees to pay or your parents are paying for it. You or they should start investing for college for your sake. I have some friends who didn’t get to past college and some of them didn’t attend to college because of the lack of money or investment and they had a really tough time. Research also shows that low-income children who have a college savings account in their names are at least three times more likely to attend college and four times more likely to graduate than their peers who lack such savings account for post secondary training and education programs.
Charity
Despite of the government's treacherous acts, we still have to give at least something to help them. It’s either money, books, school supplies, school uniforms and etc. Because we people can make a change to help them we are given gifts to be on a school and have high quality teachers teach us. So why not share them what you have and you’ll never know some of them might do the same someday.
